About The Word Service
The Word Service was established in 2003
by Jan Champney.
Jan holds the Diolpma in Careers Guidance and is a graduate of Coventry Polytechnic.
She is committed to help people of all ages achieve the career and life choices that are best for them.
Recently she has been joined by her husband Ian who has over 35 years experience of working in careers guidance and education. Together they offer individual support to education and learning organisations across England, with the intention of improving the learning experience for individuals and teaching staff.
They work with schools, colleges and providers, utilising their combined experience. Jan is fortunate to be an Associate for many of the organisations at the forefront of developing and improving the education sector.
With costs in mind, they aim to be flexible and creative solutions that respond to inspection requirements, address the needs of the local communities and achieve national strategic directions.
Both have worked on many ground breaking projects at the leading edge of educational reform and bring this extensive experience with them.
Ian has contract managed a county-wide Next Step contract and has over 10 years of team leadership experience.
Jan and Ian live in Dorset but are happy to undertake work across England
